Oh what the heck just use or buy an standard ide burner and by a external housing. They work great got my Liteon 40x running on firewire/usb housing on my notebook.Check out these links here........................>>>>

When I last check out the web for a external dvd burner some 3 months ago the above method worked out cheaper then buying a all in one dvd burner retail.. my 2cents worth....
