Logitech MX700 mouse , any good ?

hey guys,

i'm thinking about buying a logitech mx700 mouse. i've read quite a few different reviews, and most ppl seem to either hate it or love it!

the most common problem seems to be the scroll button which is not compatible with a lot of games.

does anybody own this mouse? and should I be buying one ?

I got one about 2 weeks ago. Love it! Fast and accurate. One of the best. Go for it!!!!! You won't be sorry.

I also have a logitech wireless mouse. I love the thing. Have'nt had a problem yet. Wish I had known about the MX700. Had to replace the batteries once already. But I went to radio shack and got 4 rechargables, so I'm set now.

Considering it has 2 batteries in it, I don't feel that it is too heavy. Never even noticed any more weight than with other mice.

The Mouse rocks, it's the best mouse i ever had. Wireless mice sucked
for gaming since the MX700 came out, even in FPS no problems at all. But, the logitech software sucks, as usual. I plugged the mouse to the PS/2 port and installed Microsoft Intellimouse, works like a charm...

well, i bought it and it cost me a shite load of money. it isn't bad but it is a bit heavy with the batteries.

but like everything new, i suppose i'll get used to it !

very dissapointed with the software though. it really sucks. seems almost a waste having all those extra buttons...

any hints on using the buttons with the intellimouse software? I set it as a "intellimouse explorer" - so i can use at least the back/forward buttons on the left.

Amazon.com has a $20.00 dollar rebate for it. It comes up around $46.00 after rebate and free shipping.
So I could get the mouse right away I first ordered it on Amazon and then I went and bought one at Circuit City for like $80.00. The one I ordered from Amazon just came in so I'm taking it back to Circuit City to get my $80.00 back.
