I just bought a new LiteOn LVD 2001 DVD Player and I've run into a problem.
The problem occur when i insert a disc which contains mpeg2 files (converted to svcd with nero.

The problem is that the movie plays but like it runs it way to fast... like its fastforwarding while it plays some sound now and then... no picture.

I would be gratefull for any respond which might help

more info

whenever i burn a mpeg file with nero i get this message that the file isnt valid for creating a standard super video cd.
usaly i just answer with "turn off standard compliance and continue" bearing in mind that ive just ignored the problem: invalid audio stream: 48000 Hz, 2 channels

it just occord to me that i should try to re-encode the file instead... and it worked fine :D , but how can that error affect the rate at which the movie is showing??

in other words, do i have to throw away all the other svcd's i got to re-encode them and then burn it again? or do you guys got anything that might help me in this tricky situation.

Thnx

Hi AnarCon welcome to our forum. :)
We do have an idea but you'll have to visit this forum for you info.
Anyway Are you doing DVD to SVCD? If so please have a read of this thread here.
Also Nero is not you best option to use for SVCD.
PS:Sorry what version of nero are you using and some details on your system may help correct this problem.

Hmmm... I've got an LVD-2001 as well and view SVCD's w/ 48k sound... BUT... I simply rip the .MPG file loose by using VCDGear, then burn that file to a CDR or DVD in ISO mode. These play perfectly for me. I've never tried an SVCD Proper w/ 48k audio.

I've made ALL of my SVCD's in the past with 48khz audio, that is never a problem.

As others hjave said, Nero sucks big time for converting to a SVCD, and I wouldnt even recommend it for burning a SVCD. Try using VCDEasy for that for best results. It will also tell you where the error of non-compliance is.
