liteOn DVD/CD combo

Hi welcome just have a chech 1st up if your aspi files are installed look here click on how to go about it. Also what blank media are you using?
Just another point are you using the software that came with the drive? if not it could well B your drive is not supported by the software your using.

This drive http://www.cdrbase.com/showthread.php?t=32001 ?

A different problem, but it seems Liteon dropped the ball with this one.

Unless you really cannot spare 2 drive bays and 2 IDE connections, I wouldn't recommend a combo - EVER.

There isn't much price advantage aver a good pair of drives, which will normally outperform any combo, as well as having other advantages.

Fastest Liteon DVD burner retails for some 50 $, and the best DVD_ROM in the market for another 25, so combos suck indeed...

Sonic was conflicting with Roxio. It seems that Roxio put its "Mine" on the burner and wouldn't let Sonic use it.

Welcome to the world of CD-R software conflict - and ROXIO does tend to be a "bad neighbour" to other programs, though prassi-engined programs (of which I believe Sonic is one) also have issues with Nero 6 (or is that the other way round?). WinME is also not a well-liked platform for CD-R ... it tended to have far more problems than 98SE.

Which versions? - and what came with the drive... I thought Liteon always bundled Nero?
