Hello all,

I just bought a 52X32X52 burner, and I am using prassi (which is now called recordnow) software, unfortunately the most resent PX Engine supports up to 48X burners, so my question is, is there a PX engine that I can download to support my 52X32X52? If there's not is there a work around so I can use my software?

Thanks for any support and help you can offer me.

Welcome.....I don't know about recordnow but I do know if I burn at 52x with my norcent either other drives have a problem reading the disc or I get too many error so I usually just burn at 40x (with imation CDr's) and I don't have a problem. I just though you might want to know and it may be different with other burners. Good luck.

Welcome to our neck of the woods Jackel12. I have the same burner and have been very happy with it.

I'm sure the Recordnow software will have an update to support this new burner soon... but until then consider using Burnatonce. I use BAO and have no problems with burning just about anything. Freeware too!

@Jackel12 here's an update link (June 9, 2003) Px Engine This up has worked with some 52X series Lite-on's.
This engine update provides product updates, fixes, and new CD and DVD recorder support.
Use this download to update these products.

RecordNow! 6.0
RecordNow! 5.0
RecordNow! DX/Max 4.6
Hope this helps you out!

Thank you for that link, however I tried the one already, Oh well!! I guess that I will have to wait and see if they update the PX engine to work on the new 52X
burner :(

I thought so too, but for some reason it still won't work for my 52X

I even look at the PXdrv.dll in winhex to see if I can locate the 52327S support, but all I could find was it supported up to the 48X liteon's.

I am not sure wht it didn't work!!!

I already tried to hack the PXdrv.dll, using that exact string (NetLion) provided, he say's to find the text that say's LTR-52327, (which is my burner) I can't find LTR-52327 anywhere in the text. what is the driver version in PX500? I am getting 1.0.43.0 where I clicked on the version tab on the PXdrv.dll file properites box. any info would be nice!!!

You can't find the LTR-52327 bcz the file posted was modified by me.

I've used this string to add support for my LTR-52246.

You can install the latest PxEngine version (507) with full support for 52327 and NO SUPPORT for 52246

Actully I downloaded the PX500.exe from the Primera web site, so I was using
there PX engine, not the one you posted as a zip file. I still couldn't find that burner. it probably won't mater anyways because the 507 might work with my burner, I will keep you all posted. :D

I installed the 507, it worked perfectly!, but for some reason, I am getting
a run-time error '9' message that say's:(Subscript out of range) Has any one seen this error message in recordnow, if you have were you able to fix the problem.

You cant find the LTR-52327 because its not there, well not in the 500 or the 507 updates. I have the LTR-52246S and its not there either. The closest I could find was the LTR-48246S, so I just edited that to read 52246S and bingo, I now get all burning speeds showing and they actually work.
