Liteon 48246S question.

I got Liteon48246S (48X24X48) a few days ago and It seems working fine and doesn't look have serious problem yet.
but, I've got some question coz I'm not sure about some setting
and my new burner.

1. Do I have to enable DMA?
2. What's difference between DMA enabled and disabled?
3. Is it support safedisk2.8?
4 Will tere be any problem if I write data or image at 48X on the CDR support only 32X?

2. DMA stands for "direct memory access" meaning that the data transfered goes directly to the ram without using cpu cycles = less resources used in less time
3. Yes but it takes some time to make an image
4. In my case I´ve been using at 52x verbatim discs marked for 32x with no problem at all

Thanks for that information. I have a spindle of TDK 32x and have been wondering if I might be able to exceed that limit.
