liteon 401s!

hey guys, i have the liteon ldw-401s dvd+rw burner. i use nero 6.
Ive had it now for 6months and its in its box. i cant seem to get media (that works) with it. i upgraded the firmware etc. is there some sort of list of compatible media for this burner...(i made a silly mistake buying this one lol)

Try ritek
Heres a good place for info on this drive. Especially the zebra mod area
Its not a bad drive at all, i have one and it has proven itself well worth the money.

It isn't really picky on media... unless you try to use it with -R stuff! (and yes, many tried to do that...).

lol scarecrow, i can imagine, but im not one of em lol...i dont know what the prob is with this thing...wasnt that, yesterday pc world were doing a x8 =-dvdrw for 49.99. i went in afternoon, man said they were gone in a hour, 150 of em. Damn lol.

I got an infiniti dvd-rw yesterday, im going to muck around abit more.

firmware, how do u know if ur upgrading it to something better??

new firmwares are typically (but not always) better. you can usually assume that a firmware revision is safe to use if a company leaves leaves it up for an extended period of time (because there haven't been massive complaints that would prompt them to remove it).
