Lite-on drw-811s data disks

Hi all,new to forum & DVD burning.Had the above mentioed dvd writer for a few months & have only just got round to trying the dvd part out.It burns cd's ok.I cant figure out whats going on with the dvd writer part. Im trying to burn a data dvd using Sonic(trial version).When I burn data cd it seems like its working ok.But when I read the disk after there are no files on it.Im trying to burn a folder with 1.1gb of data in it.If I burn a folder with less data say 100mb,I can read the files ok!
I have upgraded to latest firmware & latest version of sonic.I'm using the dvd + 4x disk that was supplied with the writer.

i don't know "copytocd/dvd", but it seems something is wrong with the software itself or with the software settings you choose;
you have to set Data DVD in UDF 1.02 format + Joliet volume descriptor;

if it won't work again, try another software maybe the good old (and cheap) Nero 5.5.10.56;

And what's your Windows version?

I have the same burner and all I can say is it sucks, I only use it for kprobe scanning. You mentioned that you are using the latest firmware, big mistake. HSOQ sucks try using HSOK, it is much better and try Record Now Max or Nero 5.5.10.56 (I hate 6.0+). Should have bought an Nec 2500a or something else, sorry man.
