LG Philips LCD Co. Ltd. showcased its latest thin-film-transistor liquid crystal display technology at the Consumer Electronics Show here this week, including a 52-inch TFT-LCD that it called the world's largest, featuring 2.07 million pixels and 1,920 x 1,080 resolution.
The display's resolution is more than seven times greater than a standard-definition television's and twice as great as many HDTVs, the company said. LG Philips said the display has the world's widest viewing angle, 176°, of any wide screen with an aspect ratio of 16:9.
