The problem is: people use it for many occasions
But the main meaning is stealing links from other sites.
If I use the download links from another site, like CDFreaks, FileFlash, ... without naming the source of the link, I am leeching ..
Leeching their bandwidth, without giving anything in return ...
That is usually called leeching, stealing links from other sites, and put them on your own ...

leeching is also a term used by peer2peer clients such as kazaa and blubster and grokster where people leech or just take all they can from other users without sharing files just as a real leech sucks blood dry from animals etc leechers suck dry all they can get from other sources and dont ever pay back with uploads or shares !

but is in fact, leaving out just 2 letters (which anyone can guess which letters they are) not the same as linking ??, and so just even leeching?
