learnt alot!! but still need help

this is my first post and first thing i want to say is, great forums i have learnt alot in five days by reading the different posts, i have been trying to make back ups of my kids dvd"s as they always end up scratching them until they are unplayable , i nearly thought it was in possible until i found this site, i have to burn to cd as i dont have a dvd burner and i only have windows 98 sec,so some of the programs that people talk about dont work for me. so what i have started doing is this, tell me if i am wrong because everything seems ok till the end
the dvd"s are css encoded so i decrypt them to my hd with
DVD Decrypter Version 3.1.6.0
then i turn them to svcd with
DVD Copy Express
then i check it in my comp to see how it turned out and everything looks perfect
then i burn them to cd with
Nero 6 make svcd
first i used vcdeasy with same results, the problem is when i play it in the dvd player which is cdrw compatible, the movie is like it is not playing fast enough just clicking frame to frame quickly and when i push slow search forward quickly it nearly fix"s the problem but it does not, any help would be much appreciated :D
the cd also plays perfect on my pc

Found Problem Myself

Even Though It Is The Latest Dvd Player. Top Brand, It Can Only Read Vcd Not Svcd, So No Problem Now, As If A 2 And 3 Year Old Can Tell The Differnce Anyway ;) But If It Was Not For This Forum They Would Not Have That
Thanks Forum Dudes :d
I USED THE SAME PROCESS AS ABOVE BUT JUST CHANGE TO VCD FORMAT
PLUS IT IS QUICKER AND SMALLER OUT PUT

IF YOU HAVE A PANASONIC DVD RV-32 ,, with nero 6009 , UNTICK!!!!! , enable VCD menu, you dont really need that anyway, or the vcd will not work, test with a rewrite disk first it saves you dollars. :D

Ahaaa..Seems you found your problem. ;) Welcome to the forum!

It amazes me sometimes that some 100$ dvd players can play almost anything. Then you can have a big name 500$ player that can't.

Best bet is to do some research before buying.I bought an Apex that I thought would play vcd's because they had a good reputation. The one I bought couldn't.So I did some research, and returned it for a Pioneer that will play anything I throw at it,even on bargain brand discs. ;) .That said,a well done vcd can rival a vhs tape in video quality.Good enough for the kids. :)

take note
