ldw-811s freezes

I just picked up a ldw-811s with the hsoe firmware and everytime I try to burn a dvd+r w/ Nero it hangs and the system freezes. I have a 1.3 duron w/512 mb of ram on an a7v mobo. Anyone have any thoughts? Maybe some tips to help troubleshoot. It burns CD-R's just fine. Thanks

wat version of nero do u have ?v6 or v5.x? if u have any background programs like AV like NAV200x disable them
& wait a little bit 4 the dvd-burning experts 2 help ya...not a dvd burner user myself yet
can also u the search button 2 look 4 any similar problems
