Ldw-401s

Hi all,
I just got the Lite On LDW-401S DVD burner. Installed easy with out a hitch. I have DVD X Copy Express. I used the DVD RW that came with the package and used it to copy my dvd. I went to play it on my Panny RP-56 standalone player and it won't recognize it. My manual and the site www.dvdrhelp.com says that it should play both formats of dvds. Could it be the cheap disk they gave me that I used. It plays on my computer fine but it will not play on the Panny.

Disk quality has a big play in how it plays or not on your DVD Player. Buy a different brand of DVDR blanks and give them a try.

Any suggestions on what brand? I used Fuji and the +rws play fine but I can't still get the +rs to work on my panny rp56.

Sorry I cant help you with +R stuff as I only burn -R and they always work. I would suggest your Panny will have trouble with any +R though, despite what dvdrhelp listing may say about your player. Check out the thread at dvdrhelp and see what brands the people that say it plays +R are using then.
