But NOT listed in http://www.kodak.com/go/ - great place to hunt down KODAK topics though

Photo organizer and limited editing (red-eye etc.).
Features other than camera connection are usable with non-Kodak equipment, and it also serves as the Kodak digital print service frontend.

For local printing, "One touch to better pictures" can optimize for supported printers.

New in this version, writes pictures to CD - though I don't know if that's native or plugin to something

The online install is a pain - and the use of BACKWEB for updating is a bigger one - though you can turn it off - I hate those background updaters that go when THEY decide, not you.

FREEWARE/PROMOTIONAL + register at kodak.com to get it.

I would suggest a custom installation, and do NOT install the updater, not unless you like BACKWEB - best described as a "parasitic update service".

You CAN activate/deactivate the updater on demand, so it's not as bad as it could be - but there are NO "listening tasks" on my PC, and I intend keeping it that way.

If upgrading over an old installation (as I was), you may find that it fails to convert the existing image catalog.

The same recovery procedure applies to this version, and to most operating systems.
