Kernal Error???

My comp just froze on me earlier and i couldnt do anything, even ctrl+alt+del woudnt work.
then after a while a got the blue screen of death saying:

Stop: 000x121212 0000x000000 blah blah blah.........
Kernal Error

then when i restarted by pushing the reset button, my comp woud not go past the IDE Detection stage...would just say Detecting and then nothing. Then i shut it completely down and it worked fine.

this is the 1st time ive had this and it scared the leaving daylights out of me.
Does anybody know what this is about......???

Hi Maxamus! You have moved your IDE devices around in your computer. Not sure on your OS.could have been a conflict from moving your drives.Win 98 is notorious for conflict by having multiple entries of devices.I noticed this after moving my drives around.I use to start in safe mode if I had bootup problems, and would go into device manager and delete multiple entries(Win 98).It can give similar errors like you encountered.Always uninstall a drive(in device manager) before changing drives on an IDE channel. All seems well for you now.;)
