jv16 powertools has a virus?

I am currently scanning my XP and I found a virus/trojan called webdl_11.editor :mad:

I don't know if other ppl has got this virus/trojan...

I can't find any info on the virus/trojan...was wondering if anybody know about this...any help would be nice :p

Just found out that

webdl_11 is a backdoor trojan....hmm..

must of pick it up somewhere or is the owner of jv16 trying to get access to our computers??...heh :p

Never found any virus from Jouni's programs. Virus scanners should be taken with a pinch of salt and their opinions scrutinized just like a doctor's diagnosis. Second opinion is a must.

Looks like by letters WEBDIALER. Girlie sites have MUCHO such junk.

Trojan Remover site should have whatever listed.

I did...

prolly a trojan in my other files which I downloaded somewhere else...it was found in resident.exe jpowertools\resident\resident.exe...I don't know what the file does...but I deleted it and jv16 powertools still worked...

Maybe my trojan killer made a mistake but anyhew alls well now...lucky it was NOT a major VIRUS

That's what I was thinking too Laz. Probably got this from some other site or someone else & they put the trojan/virus on it, 'cause I have never gotten a virus from this program directly from his site.
