this is sad, downloaded pretty much all the builds even advised cmr's to download the product for their registry problems.

ah well money is money, time to look for a new product

And also sorry to say it is not, IMHO, anywhere near as good as it once was for a registry editor either. :(

Most system problems I have had in recent times have been caused by jv16 pt! I would never have dreamed that a year ago. No it was also sneaky in the way this has been done too, I had used the beta and reported back many faults saving them loads of work but yet do I or many others get a FREE license??? Nope :eek:

I have been testing Registry First Aid & Registry Healer side by side on two systems for the last couple of days and Registry First Aid has really caught my eye for sure! It is a cracking product, it has a nice GUI and IMO is worth paying for too even. And most important, it does the job jv16 once did.....edits and cleans the registry without screwing up windows!

Guy wanna go commercial..--reality of life.....I would too.if i got a product........... :) For example..Do you wanna eac developed??if answer is yes..proggy will have to go commercial.....Couse author said many times..that he got less and less time :) .And you know that we`ll get a free update anyway..so whats a big deal..I guess i can be prettuy sure trhat somebody will more then react on this....like open source..whatever....hiroshima..Nagasaki....

I'll have to see what I got - I bumbled around google and archive, and grabbed a copy from the OLD download site - no idea if its a full 1.4, a 1.4RC, or something else - I might install it under a monitor, so I can rip out any hidden anti-reinstall keys if it plants them.
1.4 Macecraft trial - so digging around doesn't seem to help!

I guess it's time to start laying in current copies of useful utilities, in case they go the same way - in redcent years, it's been LAMENTABLE.

PCMag Utilities - gone subscription
VCDEasy - gone shareware (though respect to the author for releasing a full "last freeware" version .. but after a damaging blast of criticism)
JV16 powertools - gone shareware

Is it inevitable?

dont know if this is the topic right for this forum..but about that crack--What a jerk...he is pissing in his work saying some nonsense to proggrammer--like he is dumm and soo....and his crack is not working properly....What a moron... :p Btw i putted that old versioon back--free one....thats it for me.. :)
