I have two LITEON drive's

CD-RW LTR 40125S FirmWare ZS0N
and
DVD ROM LTD 163D FirmWare GHR3

I Need Info about Reading CDR's, Burning PSX games and CD protection issue's

yep poko is right.. for audios you need a newer plextor burner or a plextor 20/32/40 tsi scsi cdrom for reading.

only the 40tsi is able to read cd-text :mad: of course the plextor writer can do it too

I have heard that the liteon inside is plextor so.... :) or was it JVC i dunno :confused:

Maybe LITEON can do CD-TEXT to?

Of course liteon can do cdtext too.

( the cdtext comment was or scsi plextor cdroms only)

Plextor builds their drives with sanyo components

Liteon are building their drives for themself

I also have in my 2e PC

SCSI Plextor PX-R820T
SCSI Plextor PX-40TS

i never had a problem whit these, maybe PLEX is tha best... :D

LiteOns are the preffered Safedisc 2 burner as they need no AWS (amplity weak sectors) to make a playable copy.

SecuRom is a different story. Older SecuRom 1 and 2 are not a problem. Version 3 (exa. Warcraft III) seems to be a problem for some, but most have been able to make a playable backup with a LiteOn (I did :)). However, version 4 is a big problem. Unreal Tournament 2003, Beach Life, Hitman 2, and others are using various incarnations of SecuRom 4. These are uncloneable with ANY burner (not just LiteOns) and cloning software at this time. Some claim success, but their claims are not duplicatable.
