jerky dvd copies

i am copying dvds using the method in the tutorial but when i play the movie in my standalone it comes out very jerky and blocky is there something im doing wrong or do you need to check some settings in smartripper also is it possible to do 1to1 copies of films that would fit on a 4.7gb or not as most of my collection is region 1 they dont have loads of languages in it so will fit straight on a dvd-r

This should be posted in the DVD burning section maybe?
Have u played a dvd-r in your standalone before?
What make/model is it? Someone else may have the same problem.

You didnt convert a PAL DVD to NTSC or vice versa did you? If you did, thats why its jerky.

Does the VCD play on the PC okay, is it just the DVD Player ? If it plays okay on the PC, then you have a problem with your DVD Player, try burning at a slower speed, try burning to CDRW and try a different brand of CDR with a different coloured recording side.

Have a read in the DVD Writing section for DVD to DVD-R copying, your question has been answered a few 100 times there.
