I've managed to make 1:1 of NOLF 2 (SecuROM - 4.82.01 0029) !!!

Guys ! I finally managed to make a decent copy !

I've managed to make a 1:1 copy of my (original) No one lives forever 2 !!!

No emulation needed !

My NOLF 2 was identified as using SecuROM - 4.82.01 0029.

I used Blindwrite Version 4.2.1.26 ( _http:\\www.blindwrite.com ) and my SONY CD-RW CRX195E.

I created the image with 'extract subcodes' on and using nibble option.

I created the BWA with Blindwrite's BWA builder reading at 1x (which was recommended) and the max sector set at 316000.

It is VERY important that the BWA file HAS THE SAME NAME AS THE IMAGE !

The copy has been tested in the SONY CD-RW CRX195E1 and my ASUS E612 DVD-ROM and it works in both ! I'll definately be testing the disc in other CD-ROM's/DVD-ROM's & CD-RW's very soon.

Thanks to the guys at VSO Software, CDFreaks forum and CRSoft forum for the info !

In case anybody is interested, I've attached my BWA of the 1st disc of NOLF 2.

and here's the event log of Blindwrite session...

I have been trying to make a backup of my backup of NOLF2 but have been unsuccessful. I had originall backedup NOLF2 with CloneCD before they're recent updates, so this could be one reason I couldn't get my backup to work with BW. HOwever, I downloaded your bwa file and used it with my backup image and it works just fine! I wonder why my bwa didn't work I have a LTR32123S and read it at 4X. Could be because I messed up some protection data with CloneCD. Anyway thanks for letting me test with your bwa file.

Haven't actually tried a backup of a backup...

I strongly recommend you try generating the BWA at 1x - if i understand the principle correctly (and i'm no expert here!) the file created would is more accurate if created at a lower speed as the process is very CPU intensive.

Interestingly enough I tried generating the BWA using my ASUS DVD-ROM (thinking that maybe a DVD-ROM is more accurate !) and it failed miserably.

i just downloaded it from the blindwrite site, although when the prog starts it says it is 4.2.1.11

yet strangely the log created says it is the newer version !

I've managed to make 1:1 Copies of UT 2003 and Empire Earth - Art of Conquest both a Securom 4.xx using brindwrite 4.2.1.11 on a Liteon LTR-48125W :)

Hi,

Here's my Hitman2.BWA I created with my LiteOn LTD-165H that worked for me.

Just make sure it's in the same directory as your Hitman2 BlindRead imagefile that has to be given the same Hitman2 filename.
