is this Toshiba SDR1112 good for ps2 backups?

Hi , I read the review of this dvd burner Toshiba SDR1112 here and it looks like a good one for the price.
But I would like to know if is good enough for making ps2 backups, nothing else?.
Does anyone has one?.
thank you

Thank you, I know is better a pioneer but when you have a budget of $100.00 you can't buy a pioneer.
Thank you again.

Look out for TEAC or Asus DRW-0804P both use Pio units...Or Get an NEC drive. ;)

What about these ones; ASUS DVR-0402P/D = $140.00cad or NEC ND-2500A $140.00 cad or PIONEER DVR-A06U =$162.00cad.
which one will you take?.

Actually right now I have a sony dru-510a. but I can't make backups with it, before I had a Hp burner and I was making perfect copies.
When you said " use Pio units", what do you mean by that?. how can I know if my sony use Pio?. do I have to set the drive to Pio to be able to burn my ps2 games?
Thank you for your help.

Edit by Rastabt..9 April 2004, Pio = Pioneer.
sorry

ASUS DVR-0402P/D = PIONEER DVR-A06
if u r on a budget u can go 4 the asus one
he meant that these drives had a pioneer 'chipset ' inside them, and thus should provide more or less the same good performance as a true pioneer ;)

OOPSS!!!, so that's what pio means, I was thinking more like PIO MODE or something like that.
I'm still not sure (I'm like that) because the difference in prices is not that much.
but thank you for the help.
