Is this .srt file a subtitle file? *help*

hi guys

i have a original japanese 'the ring' dvd and unfortunately it doeasnt have subtitles on it. I have downloaded one today and it is the same but also has a .srt file attached to it. I was wondering whether this file is a subtitle file? ifso how do i go about encoding this with dvd2svcd please?

ive managed to sort it out - it is a subtitle file! my next question is how can i include this in dvd2svcd when im encoding it?

Best thing would be to let DVD2SVCD do it's thing as usual, then add the subtitles as a seperate stream along with the M2V/AC3 later when you author.
