Is this possible?

I have some short films on individual DVDs that I would like to rip, compress if necessary, and burn to 1 DVD. Can this be done, and if so can it be done using DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink and Nero, which just happens to be the software I already use? Thanks for any and all input.

np Dano Roo they are cheap enough to buy and save a small fortune in the long run, same with CDR burning i recommend getting a CDRW to anyone experimentind :D

Well, I`ve been attempting this feat for several days now, but I still can`t figure out how to do it. Specifically what I want to do is back up my original copy of Schlinder`s List, which is on 2 dvds. More than 2/3 of the movie is on disc 1 and the remainder is on disc 2. I would like to burn about 1/2 the move to a blank dvd then combine the last few chapters of disc 1 with the disc 2 chapters and burn that half of the movie to a second blank dvd. I know how to get the first half of the movie by using the "start/end" feature of DVD Shrink, but what I don`t know how to do is take the last few chapters of disc 1, combine them with the disc 2 contents to create the second half of the movie. Can someone please instruct me on how this is done, or direct me to a tutorial on this subject. I would be most grateful for any assistance.

Thanks tef y2k but I finally figured out how to do it! And for anyone else who doesn`t know how but would like to know, here is what I did.
After ripping the 2 dvds with dvd decrypter, I used the "re-author" feature in dvd shrink, to open the 1st ripped disc. Then using the "start/end" feature, I selected several chapters of disc 1 (approximately 1/2 of the movie), and encoded those chapters to a directory on my hard drive. I then selected the remaining chapters of disc 1 and encoded those chapters to a 2nd directory on my hard drive. I then opened the 2nd ripped disc and again using the "re-author" feature, encoded all the disc 2 chapters to a 3rd :D directory on my hard drive. After the entire movie was encoded, I opened the 2nd encoded file (last chapters of disc 1), then opened the disc 2 chapters in the same window and encoded those two files to a 4th directory on my hard drive, thus combining the two files. I burned the contents of file 1 to a blank dvd, then burned the contents of file 4 to a blank dvd. By splitting the movie up equally, I was able to keep the compression of both dvds to a minimum.
I hope this helps anyone who encounters this problem, because I`ve been helped in this forum numerous times!

I don't get it...

I'm glad you were finally able to get Schindler's List re-recorded, but I'm using the "grandma route" here, and it seems so easy. I just play the DVD, I want to record, into my ATI All-in-Wonder 7500 video card, captured as an MPG-2 file, at 352X480 resolution, which is indistiguishable from the original source, and which provides up to 3 1/2 hours of video, depending on the source. Then, I just burn a new disc from that file, and head to Mickey Dee's!! (just kidding...). Anyway, it works, and is a very simple solution. You're recording in real time, but I don't generally pace around the room for 3 hours, while a movie is playing/recording; just come back, at the end, and burn my disc. Adios!
