Is this possible?

I want to backup my original Lord of the Rings dvd, but I`m concerned that the amount of compression necessary to get it on one dvd will adversely affect the video quality. Is it possible to burn the movie, uncompressed, to 2 dvds, and if so is there a tutorial I can read to explain the process?

The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition has the movie on 2 DVD9 (dual layer) so if you want it totally uncompressed you will need 4 DVDR's, not 2. If you want to compress each to a dvdr, then just follow the Tute of your choice.

Personally, I have encoded both to the one DVDR using DVD2SVCD with CCE, VBR 3 pass movie only (thats all thats on dvd 1 & 2 anyway) with absolutely stunning results.
