Is there anyway I can stop getting email from this site when I only say thanks

On most sites you can elect to receive email when you ask a question, etc. Which I like very much.

However, lately every time I post anything, such as thanks to some of the generous people who furnish info/SW I want/need, I get an email notice from this board everytime anyone else posts anything to that particular thread.

Is there any way to change this? Maybe my profile is wrong.

BTW, I do check the email notification on all of my questions, requests but I am writing about emails on my replys to other posts where you do not have this option.

Am I the only one this applies to?

You can unsubscribe to any thread through your user cp.
Also by clicking on the link in the e-mail.

That is what I do now. I click on the email link. I was hoping there is a better way.

You can turn off email notification in user Cp under edit options.Or just unsubcribe from threads as Daveml mentioned.

Thanks, I hated to do it because I do like notices to questions I write but some threads are so long and if you say thanks, you may get 20 emails.
