Is there any software supporting authoring DVCD?

DVCD is a DVD with the movies in VCD-quality but with the sound in 48000. At ***.vcdhelp.com you can find out how to create them manually, but wonder if there is any software where I can select some VCD-files - connect them to a menu - and then burn a DVCD. I have a lot VCDs and want to put them on a DVD to save some space. I think it was about 450 minutes of VCD-movies on a DVD...

Any software which creates this?

I think many authoring progz are able to do that ?!

cause 320x288 is a dvd compliant resolution .... just the audio needs to be transcoded ....

give DVD Fusion a try .

Also, apparently a few DVD players will even play these without transcoding the audio. I don't remember which ones but you can probably learn more in the forums at vcdhelp.com. P.S. And yes, I know it won't be a compliant DVD but some players are quite carefree about standards compliance.

OKe. I 'm not sure what is DVCD:confused: Something like SVCD:confused: VCD can hole 70mins. SVCD 45mins. If DVCD may be is about 30mins. Why not DVD-R/W or DVD+R/RW:confused:

If you don't have DVD Burner. CD-R still can burn DVD! Do anybody new that. We call miniDVD. 15mins in a 700MB size CD-R.
Very easy to do. Just used any authoring software to make your menu. Create as a VIDEO_TS folder. Burn the VIDEO_TS as a data file, like normal what we do. That's it you have miniDVD.

The only thing is, it ONLY can playBACK on DVD-ROM drive. Not the DVD set top player.:(

If you leave the audio at 44100 and made a 4.3 gig video cd would it be playable on stand alone dvd players ???
