is it possilble to run three ide burners??
i have two ide hard drives install alreadly.
is there a card i can get to give me another ide port my mother board is a giga btye 8irx
thanks for your help

Yep.....you can add a pci ide card to your system, they give you 2 new ide slots,so you can connect 4 devices on it.....
Older Promise Ultra100 TX2 model didn't work that well with burners, because the card confused some burning programs....
I suggest to use a newer model,or another brand...
If you can only find the Ultra100 TX2 at your store,I suggest you to connect your harddrives to it,and your burners to the pci slots on your mobo.......

My setup:

Maxtor 20 gig ........both connected on my Promise Ultra100 TX2
Maxtor 80 gig

LiteOn 40X
LiteOn 52X ........ all 3 of them connected to my mobo's ide channels
Sony dvd burner

I actually have 4 drives running on my system. Plextor 16x + Liteon 52x on the ide 1 and Panasonic DVD-Ram + Plextor 40x on the ide 2. Then 2 40gig seagates running on a raid pci ide card. So alpal depending on your mother board and the pci card you get you can run any number of drives that you want.
