IOMEGA dvd data read problems

Bought myself a IOMEGA superDVDwriter using it with P4P800 Motherboard, Intel P4 2.4Ghz and 512 MB OCZ ram. Started using khypermedia and could not burn a single dvd with out errors. Upgraded the Burner bios and switched to maxell DVD+R and memorex DVD-R media and no more burn problems - however... When I burn data DVDs they read fine on my system but will not read or be recognised on the office computers DVD rom drives. The DVD I burned are NOT multisession but I am unfamiliar with the iso udf etc formats and may have burned them incorrectly.

Any ideas where I should look to fix this situation. I have about 10 GB of data files I want to transfer to the office computers and this seems a great way to do it (if I can get it to work) otherwise I will have to burn many CDRs.

Thanx in advance...

have u confirmed that the office dvd-rom drives are capable of reading recordable dvds?
I tried the DVDs on several of my DVD rom units at home and then brought one of them into the office and installed it. Yes it did read almost successfully. Some small data errors that seem to be caused by dirt on the DVD surface. It appears that the DVD is very sensitive to any surface obstruction. The DVD roms are a bit old 1999 and that may be the root cause of the problems.

I now know NEVER BUY Kypermedia - it just doesn't do the job. I can't even use it at 1 times speed as the nero 6 automatically sets it to 2.4 and I can't seem to get around that.

Thanks for the help - this site is great for anyone starting to get into DVDs
