InstantCopy Settings Editor error msg

I got the following error message when i run the InstantCopy Settings Editor 1.3.2 :

"...Run-time error '13'
Type mismatch..."

What"s that? Couple days ago i got no problems.

PS: Why everything goes wrong when i come back from Holidays? :)

If you're running win98 you should check your MDAC Version and maybe update it to at least V2.6 . This should solve your problem 99.9% .

Otherwise a little bit more info about your system config could be useful.

And it would be very helpful if you could tell us what you were doing or where and when that error pops up! (or do you get it when you simply start it?) So we can narrow on a certain part to locate your problem!

This is pretty weird, especially since you said it worked before, whats worth a try is cleaning InstantCopy Hidden Settings Editors Registry Keys, i attached a reg file for you, apply it and try again.
Lets see if it helps! If not we start over again!

just curious:

Have you installed a standard english version of winxp or a greek version ?!
I have the English WinXP pro installed.
The problem is solved after a reg clean-up posted by MadGuy.
Still don"t understand what "Run-time error 13" was.... :)

we assume that there were some kind of language conflict in the settings which are stored in the registry and later been converted into boolean variables. Under certain circumstances it can happen, that the types stored in the registry cannot be converted by standart conversion functions provided by the vb runtime libraries and you get this error message.

Hi CaptainPinko!

welcome to the forum!

Same Error Number, though different Error, the regfile from this thread wont do any good! Plz get the reg file from here which addresses the Error in 1.3.7, until a bug fixed version is released!
