Hi All!

Attachment removed, 'cause its obsolete. Use InstantCopy Hidden Settings Editor 1.3.5 instead!

Here's the latest Version of InstantCopy Hidden Settings Editor : 1.3.4!

Changes:

a - added

V1.3.4 Still battling WMI...

a - Added a new link to the about dialog pointing to the official 
    Exterminators Homepage.
    
a - Scrolltext in the about dialog can now be haltet by pressing
    a mousebutton in it.

a - Instant CD+DVD Bundled Versions explenation to the InstantCopy Version
    History on the '?' menu

a - preservation of the original DVD-VolumeLabel to 'One Click Solution'
    (thnx 2 nyplayer 4 pointing out InstantCopy doesn't do this itself)
    
a - link for the official Exterminators Homepage to the '?' menu.
    while still at the basics, we'll intend to build a page with a few 
    useful tools there.

c - the way InstantCopy Hidden Settings Editor writes its config to the
    registry, to avoid future Problems with Type Mismatch Errors

f - a very weird bug in the DriveType Determination, wich only occured on
    Win2K, in the IDE the code worked, in the compiled .exe it didnt.
    Causing that even on Win2K all CDRom Drives were shown and not only the
    DVDs
    
f - with a lot of testing by nyplayer a nasty WMI Bug wich could cause the 
    Source selection in 'One Click Solution' to end up empty.
    This bug happened if any firewire or usb CD/DVD-Roms are attached to a
    system. On such a config there's a serious bug in WMI itself, so now on
    such a system WMI is not accessed anymore.

Thanks TheMadGuy :) I had problems with the earlier version when I used the one click solution. I use an external sony dru 500 connected by firewire.
I just clicked on the one click solution after opening this version and the error is gone. Thank you for your hard work, much appreciated:)

hi i was wondering..besides using instant copy with the editor for backing up DVD's; would it be possible too to use it for backing up protected game cd's?

Yes, of course- altough you should not expect to backup safedisk 2.5X+ with a non-2sheeper, or the latest Securom stuff as there is no such thing as twinpeaks etc.

I have few questions:

Questions 1:

Can anyone tell me: how does it work when you want to use IC for backing up protected cd's. Are there standard protection profiles that you can load? Do you have to use the hidden settings editor?

If you have the right burner can you back up the latest safedisc / securom protections with IC?
If you don't have the right burner can you emulate safedisc protected CD's?
If you don't have the right burner can you use twinpeak or another program in combination with IC for securom protected CD's?

Is there a guide for using Instant Copy for these things?

No registration for your Instant Copy found! etc....
The Instant Copy program came with my PC (Aldi Medion). It was pre-installed on my pc. I registered my version online with the key.

Hi 100cent!

i cant help ya on the first one, but for no 2 my guess would be that IC has been installed on an administator account, wich can cause this trouble. If so you can get rid of this message by going to InstantCopy Hidden Settings Editor Options and uncheck the 'Check Registrationstatus (disable on multiuser systems)' checkbox, that should solve it!

MadGuy - when I go into the PDIControl and open a .pdi file I get the following error:

Critial Error!
Unhandled Error occured!

13 - Type mismatch

Please report to Author!

Hi D3s7!

wich version of InstantCopy Hidden Settings Editor do you use ?
what type of pdi set do you have vcd/svcd/dvd ?
does this error occur on all pdi sets or just a certain one ?!?
