Instant Copy Problem

Hello, guys!

I have downloaded trial version of INSTANT COPY from Pinnacle web site.

When I try to run this program is says: "Failed to set data for WriteMethod"

I didn't use any cracks or stolen serial numbers.
My system is Windows Xp Professional.

If you need my hardware specifications- I will post them.

What should I do? I've heard that this program is very good and I want to try it by myself...

I which moment/process does the error occur?

If you need my hardware specifications- I will post them.
this will be usefull esp. chipset, IDE driver version, type of your drives and setup/configuration, PIO/UDMA mode;

also we need what burning software you have/had installed; it might be a burning engine/driver conflict;

It occurs when I double click on the program icon.

Motherboard: Abit KD7
CPU: Amd Barton 2.6
Memory: Samsung 512mb ddr400 non-ecc
Video: Geforce 4 ti4200 128mb.
Hard Drive: ibm 120 mb with 8mb buffer
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Audigy
Dvd+rw: Nec nd1100A

Software:
1)Windows Xp professional (I split hard drive in 6 logical drives- they all have NTSC file system. I also have Windows ME on my computer)
2)the latest drivers for all hardware
3)Burning software: Nero, Nti cd maker, Clonecd, DVD Shrink.

If you need bios version of Graphics card and/or motherboard I will post them.

When you try to run the program or when you try to install the program? :confused:

O.K. your hardware is relatively unproblematic (beside your sound card :D );
your motherboard does have a VIA KT400 chipset, so please go to VIA's homepage, download and install the latest chipset drivers "VIA Hyperion 4in1 drivers": http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=300

about your software it might be usefull to follow this tutorial to disable IMAPI and killing/reinstlling ASPI: http://www.dvdrbase.com/showthread.php?t=32137

It happens when I try to run a program (I said that it happens when I double click on the shortcut, why would I create a shortcut for the setup program? :D )

I know what chipset my motherboard has:) And I have the latest VIA Hyperion drivers. And I tried different ASPI drivers- the result is the same. I am thinking about formating my hard drive...

you didn't wrote "shortcut"; ;)

Maybe one last try before formating? Perhaps it was simply a "bad install"?
uninstalling IC, rebooting,
clearing temp folders, rebooting,
reinstalling IC, rebooting,
trying IC

I am sorry. I said on the icon. (which is a shortcut)

I've tried uninstalling, rebooting, clearing windows registry and installing again. It didn't help. But the funny part is that the 7th version works fine :)

Thank you for your replies! I am beginning format operation:)

It is working now. I've formated the hard drive in the order to make it work.
