Hi guys...
I really need your help...
Let's start with a history background..
i had Roxio Goback installed on my system (it's like system restore of windows but it protects all your files by tracking changes to your files in a sub-level like norton ghost=constantly imaging your hard drive)..it works in a level before windows so that can protect you from any mistake and it resides some information in the MBR (master boot record) making your drives "un-seeable" without it installed or before you disable it...The drives are recognized in Bios)...so let's come back to what happened...
My motherboard crashed and after a replacement i tried to use my pc...it couldn't log in windows or work correctly (it had a problem with memory as well which was seen later) i managed to disable goback before the system halted (after a lot of restarting and praying)...However my secondary drive wasn't well connected in my raid-->secondary controller and goback didn't disable from that drive as it couldn't see it....I kept backup from my primary drive in a new drive i bought and i formatted it and installed windows again...So goback was totally lost and i had a clean installation...now i can't see my secondary drive and i have on it "hours of downloading" programs...it's a really waste to use fdisk on it and lose my data... Any ideas would be most welcome..............
After looking up on Roxio Goback's FAQ on the net i found a solution if you have used fdisk \mbr how you can reenable goback....as goback resides in mbr and that's how it protects your system in low level so you can't work with your drive without it protecting your drive maybe it this commant fixes my mbr and i can work with my drive....but i don't know if it can keep my files intacted so that i can somehow "see' it and not make them totally destroyed...What do you think???
To install goback again i don't think it can see the data from an installation of it in an other system on a drive that it can't be seen from windows...Also i don't want to install it again...
Thanks for any help you give me...I hope i get some ideas...
