installation problems with Internet Privacy after installing WinXP SP1

I've just upgraded my WinXP Pro to SP1, it's been working perfectly for a week or so now.


Anyway, I heard about + decided to give the proggy Steganos Internet Privacy v2.05 a try

BUT.... I ran into a weird problem like when it says it needs to update the list of anonymous proxy servers - it just hangs and does sweet f.a.

So... I tried registering it but same s*** keeps happening even after it was registered.

so... I uninstalled it and now when I try to browse the net using IE 6 nothing happens even though I know i'm online using my adsl connection.

however, browsing using Opera seems fine, just a problem with IE6!


Anyone else have/had the same problem b 4?

Is there some sort of compatibility problem with XPPRO SP1 or sumting?


Any feedback appreciated!

doubt it a compat problem - your installation of the software screwed up and messed things up - try reverting back to a previous restore point. A bit late - but nonetheless a sound advice - make a restore point before you install anything.
