Info: Problem with LiteOn 48246S

Just for your information:
One of my 4 LiteOns went wrong. After inserting CD (burned or blank),it inicializate it but when I want to look on it, drive say no disk inserted.
When burning, soft say insert CD. It all happened in my XP, 1 month after I bought those 4 LiteOns.

Swap two (or more) drives in your IDE buses and see what happens- it may be a configuration problem.

I tried. Swapped LiteOn CDRW for DVD, than TEAC CDRW and CDROM. Everything is OK with others...

are r disk clean,without any scratch?do u live in a place where there's lot of dust?

In that case I would RMA the drive- to save several hours of useless puzzling.

For serjer:
No, I just claimed for warranty.
There is a lot of dust here, but I have 8 optical drives in computers and none of them had problems even after year of running. My TEAC CDW540E burned about thousand CD's for me and is still working in same conditions.
And I hold my CD-R's in covers to prevent scratching it or to dust it.
