Hi Folks,
I'm new to dvdr world and I need some help. I've seen the FAQ post but still have some questions.
Is it possible to burn dvdr's just like I did with cd's? I mean, make a dvd with data, mp3, avi and so on to be used as back up and used only on pc's without have to convert things ?
Is it possible to keep my movies in original format (avi, mpeg), burn to dvd and use in the pc ? (I've heard something on UDF mode????) If so, i believe this disc will have no chapters and all other authoring stuf (?)
How to burn more than one movie and or type of file to the same dvdr?
My main intention with dvdr is to capture vhs and save in digital format but i do not want to use cd for it's small size. I also want to take some movies with me when traveling and would like to have as much data in one disc as possible. Please send your ideas about this question
Thanks for the help

Sure, you can burn whatever you like, same as with a CD. As for chapters, you can have them just not with avi and mpg. Both can be remuxed to mkv complete with chapters, then it really will be PC only though. As AVI and mpg there is a chance that it will be playable by some standalones as some support RAW mpg's and certain types of AVI's.

As C_D said, you can make a data disk of MP3, mpeg, avi, etc files as before but on a dvdr. Best is to burn in UDF/ISO format though.
