Increase Recycle bin size

I had a file on my second drive that i wanted to delete to the recycle bin ( 4.5 GB ) but it tells me that the file is to large for the bin, and says do you wish to perminetly delete it. So i say yes, well you would think that would be it till you notice that the size of your drive has not changed after deletion.

The default size is 3.3GB how can I make it bigger.

Right click on the Recycle Bin and select Properties. Use the slider to increase or decrease its size.

By default it is set at 10% or your drive capacity, this can be altered by right clicking on the recycle bin and going to properties, there you can alter the slider to allocate more space either globaly or indpendently for each hard drive.

Even after altering the slider bar to 50% of my hard drive, it still says that the space reserved for the recycle bin is 3.99. My hard drives are 40GB and 80GB.

May also depend on how much actual free space you have on the HD as well.

you can set the size for each drive too or one size for all
