incompatible disc???

I having a bit of a delema trying to burn DVD's for one of my clients. I recently got a dvd set top player(KOSS KS3120-2). I used TMPGEnc Plus to encode and encore to author. Recently, My KOSS player has stated "incompatible disc" yet the dvd's play on other players however with a shakey picture during pans. I don't think it's the media(princo?) because I've had some discs work and look fine from the same batch. My guess is that it is an encoding setting that I'm recently overlooking. The Specs are:
MPEG2 encoded from a non-square QT ref at a CBR of 8500, 720x480, 29.97, AC3 audio, non-interlaced, 4:3 ratio, full screen(keep aspect ratio) during playback, etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Simon.

princos are considered by most to be of fairly poor quality, and the quality has been known to change even in the middle of the same batch, which is something you could be experiencing. you might want to see if you get more consistent results with higher quality discs.

I just burnt second DVD from an earlier encore project that was good, and the disc played fine. I am convinced it is an encoding problem.
Can you recommend high quality discs?
I don't want to spead too much if this problem is going to persist.
Cheers, Simon.
