i'm so thick!!! (audio probs)

sorry if this seems a bit basic and a dumb question but i would be very greatfull if some out there could help me! i will try and make it simple. i have nero express and windvd creator, i want to burn avi's from my hard drive to dvds, i have allready done it using windvd creator but the audio is well out, the films play fine on pc (b4 the're burnt) but after, the audio goes? i have aboslutly loads of programmes reccomended on here but i still have no idea :confused: i tryed to use chicken mans dem but it didn't work, can any one tell me a simple programme or method to burn avi's to dvd which work???
i will owe you BIG time :D

You can use gspot to see what kind of audio is in your avi. All the avi's that I've made into dvd's I ripped the wave file from it with virtualdub. Then load the video and wav file seperately into TMPEGenc and then select dvd format. Then load the finished mpeg2 file into TMPEGenc dvd author.
