I have a new Sonic MyDVD version 4.5 and am having difficulty re-entering the program in the right place after an interrupted run . I have ' captured ' a video project , direct to DVD , and saved it . I can view it on the monitor BUT I ca'nt ' burn ' it onto disc . I really need a step by step advisory on this one , 'cos I did ' fluke ' an earlier attempt on another video but ca'nt remember how I did it . Can anyone help me ??? jabaarli

It might not be your case, but I also used to have a myDVD copy (came with my Sony 500 DVD burner) and I binned it after 40 minutes of sheer frustration. IMHO this is the only place deserved for myDVD.

Got the program with my Dvd burner too. While not the best program, I did get it to work.

Go to>create or modify dvd project.Choose the button>get movies. It will then import the movie(s) you select in the explorer window. You can edit the title of your menus after importing. Then simply put a blank Dvdr(w) in your writer, and hit the red burn button. It will go through a transcoding process/file checking and burn to your dvd.Hope that helps. ;)

If creating a Vcd, the process should be similar.(never bothered with (S)vcd).

Thanks Woody , I'm impressed , not that you knew the answer but that you took the time to help me out . jabaarli . My message was regards Sonic MYDVD supplied with my DVD burner

I have Sonic My Dvd version 4.0.Perhaps I am missing the point of your question.Once the movie files are saved on the hard drive I use the procedure I described. This program is useless for commercial dvd's,I use Dvd Decrypter, and IC7 for that. ;)
