ICQ 2002a Beta Build #3728 Problem under WinXP

Greetings all:

Under WinXP with my static IP based ADSL connection, ICQ versions prior to 2002a worked fine with the ICQ Netdetect agent that sits in the system tray that automatically opens up ICQ. With 2002a however, it seems the yellow flower will just sit there until I right click on it and select open. Is there a workaround for this or is this the way it's supposed to be. It seems to be that way on several machines I installed ICQ 2002a on.

Have you gone to the settings (preferance) and selected the (Lan,Permanent connection,Cable)and maybe look at the other settings available....Im static and use the let Icq determine IP and have no problems under XP SP1

Yep, I have it on Lan,Permanent Connection,Cable , etc under connection type. Lauch ICQ on startup and the gray box checked automatically activate standby mode upon disconnection from the internet. and also under Firewall IP, ICQ will determine IP automatically.

don't know. I am not using the junk SP1 for winXP (just using old one with my own updates I choose from their update page) & everything is working fine for me.
