Ice Age to VCD using DVD2SVCD

Hello!
I tried 2 make a vcd of the movie "Ice Age" using DVD2SVCD & Chicken Man's guide, but had big audio/video sync. problems. The converted movie starts with 2 different "Twentieth Century Fox" intros and the sounds starts immediately with the first intro. I tried to use DVDx too & the vcd only started with the second intro, but no sync problems. The quality was expectedly poor. If possible I'd really like to use tmpg to encode the movie as to preserve the good quality. So, does anyone know how to solve this?
Thankx 4 any help you guys can offer!

If you are refering to this one: "How to backup your DVD to VCD (Alternative way)" - That's the guide I used. I also tried to use tmpeg & dvd2avi without using DVD2SVCD, but the result was the same. Makes sense I guess, as DVD2SVCD makes use of tmpeg as well. Thanx anyway, daveml

As I was able to use DVDx to encode the movie without sync problems by using the "open dvd mode", it might have something to do with the ifo file. Is there a way to manipulate that file? All I need is the video to start after the 1st intro.

Did anyone ever encounter a prob. like this b4?
