:confused: I need help, I bought an LG 52X24X52X CD burner and the Nero InCD software came with it. I installed it properly but it only reads my nonCD-R or CDRW CDs. I am using the Maxwell CD-R CD's.
It says to me this is not a supported media please insert a rewritable disc!!!!! I also bought different software and it does not help either it does not recognize the CDs.

if u're trying to use InCD, i believe it only works with cd-rws since it turns ur disc into a big floppy (for lack of a better term) with the capability to delete individual files from the disc. have u tried other software?

AZImmortal is right about InCD, this packet writer supports only -RW discs;
for common CD-R you need a CD mastering application like Nero 5.5 (or 6) or RecordNow 4.5 (or 4.6);
usually if InCD came bundled with your burner then the real Nero should be came bundled with too;

if you like to try the best freeware alternative, go for BAO: http://www.burnatonce.com

if the real Nero and BAO won't work, then
1. you should uninstall all the burning softwares and packet writers;

2. kill your current ASPI layer by using ForceASPI's KillASPI function:

3. if WinXP disable IMAPI burning engine:
http://www.dvdrbase.com/showthread.php?t=32137 too

4. reinstalling your favorite burning software (one should suffer)

Current packet writers that can also use non-RW media are VOB/Pinnacle Instant Write and Roxio DirectCD (or whatever the heck itsnew name is).
