Hello jay,
I presume you have used Decrypter to make an ISO that you are trying to burn with Decrypter. I usually use decrypter to rip in the ALL FILES mode, then, after a bit of DVDStripper magic, if the size is still too big to fit on a single DVDr I run it through DVDShrink and finally Burn the DVD with Nero.
Could you tell me what your process is in a little more detail and what the size was of the project you were trying to burn. Have you been sucessful at backing up any DVDs before this? and what other DVD burning/authoring/editing programs you might have?

Problem solved

i appreciate your reply but I solved the issue. It was not software but, media.
I am still puzzled it is Dvd-rw 1x. This is not working but my DVD -r disks work fine. Any suggestions? The DVD -r disks are liquid video 2x. The DVD-rw 1x disks are Memorex. The steps I am taking to back up are as followed:
1) DVD decripter to rip
2) DVD shrink
3) Burnatonce to burn

Any suggestions on rw media? You said you use DVD Shrink. Do you compress?
Do you lose any picture quality?

I really don't understand why some dvd burners have the problem that you describe. The only thing that I can advise on that is to flash your firmware to the newest available and when you find -rw media that works, stick with it until it gives you a reason to change.

If I notice a quality issue after compressing/Shrinking I start over and change my goals/methods. When all is said 'we are looking for the best quality we can fit on a dvd' but sometimes it takes 2 discs.

I use DVDShrink any time my remaining files are unable to fit on a single dvd5 without compressing. I say remaining files because I almost always remove all extras with DVDStripper so as to keep the menu and main title as close to 100% as possible. I figure out how much space I will be able to save after removing audio that I won't listen to by 1st checking it out in Shrink. I like to save the director's commentary if there is room, so I try to keep that in mind when possible. There are many ways to do all of this jay, as you become acquianted with what different software can do, you will find ways to get YOUR end result. In the meantime, keep asking and reading the helpful info and guides here and other dvd related sites.

Sorry for being long winded but I hope I've helped a bit.
