I burn Movies with ulead dvd moviefactory but...

What i do is download a movie use tmpgenc to merge them

then just use moviefactory to burn them on disc ,i change the audio as well to mpeg rather than pcm

and i have it on NTSC

but i burned 4 different movies and a couple of times the movie will skip for a sec or 2 just slightly but it happens quite a bit some times during the movie

Anyone know why it does this?????

Need more info. Assuming your target is to create an SVCD. What was the source file format? Mpeg, AVI,? Was the source file already formatted to NTSC standard - 480x480 for video? 41khz for audio? What kind of media are you burning to? Where is the hang up occuring, on home player or pc player?Without more info I cannot be of more help.

thanks guys ,here is more info

i create svcds and vcds

All the movies i have are mpeg

here is one movie that skips quite a bit

i loaded the movie into ulead dvd moviefactory

i clicked on the properties of the movie and this is what it says

Video type
Mpeg-1 Video

Total frames 175,524

Attributes 24bits , 352 x 240

Frame Rate 29.970 frams/sec

data rate 1150kbps

Audio
Mpeg audio layer 2 files

Attributes 44100hz 16bit stero

Layer 2

bitrate 224kbps

i am burning them to a Traxdata dvdr ,when i load in the movie to moviefactory ,and when i see the finish product before i burn the movie ,the movie looks weird ,some scan lines run through it and its a tiny bit blocky ,but when i burn it its fine except for the skipping now and again .

it skips on my home dvd player ,it skips back a second and then goes back to normal ,like the video jerked a bit

Burn at 1x onto decent quality media, that will always help with the playback skipping. But problem could lie with your actual DVD Player.

I assume you/UleadMF converted the 44.1 khz audio to 48khz ?

Creating a DVD with a file with the video bitrate of a vcd will look like shit. No matter what you do, you are still going to get some poor quality video. I would suggest finding a better qulaity copy such as from CENTROPY or any other similar groups.

CM - So all it takes is an edit? Tisk, Tisk, Tisk.
