Hyper-Threading in Win XP

Can anyone tell me how or IF I can enable Hyper Threading in Win XP.

I have a P4 2.4 Ghz, when I run a CPU tool on it it says Hyper-Threading is supported.

Thanks in advance.

"Intel specifies a P4 3.06GHz or higher processor is required to support Hyper-Threading on the desktop. Even though older P4 desktop processors had HT technology built-in, it was permanently disabled at the fab."

As stated above, only PIV at 3.06 and above have Hyper-threading enabled, and to make use of it you need XP with SP1 and then you can turn it on and off in the BIOS.

Hmmmmm, one question - how is hyper threading different from paralellization in the Itanium processors (where, you have more than one arithmetic and logic units of different types for increased parallelism) ?
