Vivendi Universal Games will ship its Hulk video game to North American retailers beginning June 3. Canada-based Radical Entertainment is developing the action game for all three next-generation consoles and the PC. The Valhalla Motion Pictures and Good Machine Production will hit theatres June 20. The Hulk video game will deliver a new storyline set after the events of the film. Players will experience two types of gameplay as either Bruce Banner or The Hulk as they battle lead characters from the film and familiar enemies from the Marvel universe. Players can expect fully destructible and interactive environments that let them destroy and use anything as a weapon. The Hulk reportedly can smash through any physical obstacle and annihilate foes with over 45 attacks.
The game follows scientist Bruce Banner and his enraged alter ego as they pursue a new foe intent on using The Hulk's energy to unleash an army of gamma creatures. Two of the game's 25 locations include San Francisco and Alcatraz. Some missions require players to employ stealth while struggling to contain the Hulk inside of Banner. Other missions have players sliding into the bulky green slipcover of the Hulk to smash up to 10 enemies at once.
