HP DVD e300 Region Free Help???

I just bough a HP DVD e300 DVD writer and I was wondering if you guys can help me. Its currently locked on Region 2 and I have only 4 times to change it back and forward. Is there any way you can unblock this. Please email me if you know anything.

I Got the DVD region free thing, but it still does not work. Any other ideas guys. I am desperate.

A Hewlett Packard customer is desperate per definition...
But the above two links by cobo should work- one is for using NEC 1100 firmware, and the other one links to hacked 300i firmware. So you shouldn't be desperate about THAT issue, it's an easy one. You will become desperate whenever you'll need Hewlett Packard support.

The choice of hacked firmware is:
1. RPC1 - but you still need a software solution such as DVD Regionkiller or DVD Genie.
2. RPC2 Autoreset - this is the ULTIMATE - an RPC2 drive that never runs out of changes - it's possible that this MAY abuse the flash chip by repeated rewrites though.

Personally, I'd suggest adding a DVD-ROM (they're cheap now), and not abusing an expensive writer!
