HP DVD 200i software

I picked up this burner off ebay but there is no install CDs. Looks like I need it to upgrade the firmware and the compatibilty file. Can anyone help me out with the CD rips?

Emailing HP is like talking to a wall.
But I guess this is the price to pay when buying HP products... I'm very sorry, but I cannot offer any sensible advice. Perhaps selling it, and buying something else- ANYTHING but not HP? This makes a lot of sense...

You will find the install files on HP website (do a search for dvd200i). There you will also find the firmware update (the latest firmware is 1.51 I think).

Hety hang on... HP has a gr8 Consumer support service... just takes them a tad bit of time to produce the goods... they've provided me with upto date drivers and software (NOTE: on request, of course) for obsolite hardware... give 'em a week or so... they'll reply with an answer,. if you've correctly pointed the details... :D
