how to rip quicktime or flash movies

has anyone got any tips on how to download the movies that are usually embedded in some websites like trailers and stuff mostly they are in flash or uicktime format which always download into the player but you cant save it for viewing at a later time

usually they are dumped into c:\windows\temporary internet files\ folder before playing ! try looking in there for the files :D

normally you can rightclick into the quicktime window and say "save to". or open the source code and look where the file is located.

yes, sometimes you can just look at the source code & then paste that link into a download manager or something to download it. Not always displayed though.
However since some help was posted about quicktime, here is help for flash movies:

If the source URL is not obtainable, nor the file is saved in your Temp Internet folder, then they can be captured using Streambox or TotalRecorder or Snaggit. If you use the Search button above you will find a lotof info about Streambox.
