How to make titles of MP3s appear through DVD player

I have an APEX 101W DVD player that recognizes many formats: SVCD, Jpeg, MP3, CD-R, CD-RW, regular audio, and Kodak picture show.

I am unsure how to tag MP3 cds so that their titles appear in the onscreen menu when played in the DVD player.

Case in point: My neice recently made an MP3 cd using Nero, but only MP3s that she downloaded from the internet reveal the title and/or artist onscreen. In contrast, the audio tracks that were extracted and compressed to MP3 from her own cd collection did not display any information about the MP3 at all.

I have posted this at an APEX forum but nobody seems to care or have any idea how to respond (probably the former). Any guidance would be appreciated.

the MP3 tags are usually produced by the converting program when the original CD is converted, there are usually settings in the converting program you can switch on or offf i.e. title, artist , album etc so look in the program. for mp3's already without tags you will have to fill these in manually with a seperate program like Music match jukebox, Mp3 Tag Studio, if you go to Tucows and search for Tag editors there are quite a lot
have fun

I find that if I rip off a whole CD and use the CDDB to get all the music titles down for me then the MP3s produced will carry the song/music track title on with it when played back on the DVD player.
Bit of a pain to have to do that if you were building up a mixed CD from a whole load of different sources though.
